99 days and counting
This morning my weight was 136.2, which makes my BMI 23.4.
Down from yesterday but probably mostly "water weight" loss and some inflammation dissipation...
Binge eating to my hearts content and beyond... for four days... the first week back on track can be difficult. I think I've had first weeks back on track for oh, I don't know, the past four months now... But, I'm trying to kick it up again with this 100 day challenge.
I usually find that cravings are stronger when I'm eating the foods that I crave (not to mention if those foods are in the house... peanut butter, be gone!). If I'm able to get past the time period of daily craving, the daily craving does eventually subside. That doesn't mean that the urge to binge won't rise up again., like tomorrow or the next day when a frustration at work arises... But, once back on track for over a week or so, I can usually be stronger in my will. The first week or two can be the toughest.
This morning I started with a green smoothie, similar to yesterday morning with frozen cube of purred whole lemon, a couple cups of water, a whole package of Organic Girl Super Greens, some frozen strawberries and mango, a scoop of alma powder and a few dashes of cayenne pepper. Throughout the day I had about a cup of cold brew coffee with homemade choco soy milk and about 32 ounces of earl grey tea. Breakfast was later in the morning and consisted of my usual pre-made and portioned 1/2 cup of cooked regular oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of goji berries, 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds, 1 teaspoon of wheat germ (if I remember to add), about a 1/2 cup of homemade choco soy milk, and 1/2 cup frozen wild blue berries. Lunch was a homemade light curry flavored mix of garlic, red onion, and cauliflower, green beans, peas, sweet corn, and a can of chickpeas. The veggies were frozen. I just dumped everything into a pot and cooked it up and then portioned for the week. Ended up eating another portion when I got home from work still hungry... My late afternoon snackish meal was a portion of a spicy tomato napa cabbage shitake mushroom tofu soup that I had made last week and froze portions. I had two dates for sweet treat. Which reminds me, I did eat two bananas at work, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
I find it easiest to eat healthy if I make all my own food and bring everything to work. I also like to make big batches and freeze in about 2 to 2.5 cup portions for eating throughout the next week or two. Yup, I make BIG batches of food on the weekends!!! Except for rice and butternut squash; those I freeze in portions of 1/2 to 1 cup and make smaller batches at a time.
